Advancing Women in Investing (AWI) Samata Capital is beyond thrilled to be sharing this news with you today about a recent announcement … the FIRST Africa Cohor of the 2X Ignite GP Sprint!

The 2XI GP Sprint is a 6-month acceleration program for female-led or gender balanced fund managers with gender-smart investing strategies across Africa. The Sprint’s ambitious goal is to accelerate these fund managers’ timelines to a first or subsequent close (in 2023). The applicants underwent a three-staged, competitive selection process and were shortlisted based on the strength of their application compromising a questionnaire, a motivation letter, and a fun pitch desk. The cohort of the 7 selected fund managers for 2023 (including us here at Samata Capital) are as follows …Hema Vallabh from Five35 Ventures, Evelyne Dioh from WIC Capital, Sandrine Henton from EG Capital, Samantha Pokroy from Sanari Capital, Nombuso Nkambule and Brendan Mullen from Secha Capital, and Odunayo Eweniyi from FirstCheck Africa.
