Tochi Okoronkwo

Tochi began his career as an equity analyst in asset management at Zenith Capital Limited (a subsidiary of Zenith Bank Plc) in Nigeria where he analyzed and recommended listed equities for discretionary portfolios as well as the Zenith Mutual Funds. In order to fulfill an interest in technology and entrepreneurship, he joined the payment technology team at Zenith Bank Plc and later Diamond Bank Plc (acquired by Access Bank Plc) where he was exposed to all phases of electronic payment technology, culminating in a business development role at Wakanow.com, a leading online travel agency.

Before joining Samata, Tochi worked as a consultant at Africa Foresight Group developing investment research and leading due diligence assignments in private equity.

Tochi is Nigerian and enjoys learning about how things are made, traveling and meeting people as well as spending time with his family. Tochi holds a degree in Mathematics form the Federal University of Technology, Owerri and an MBA from the Said Business School, University of Oxford.
